Following is the research resource list – that provides information about prominent scholars, major organizations, journals, seminal work etc. All of these information gives an insight into the field and helps in building the network that would help in growth and development.

Research Resource List
Educational psychology is primarily concerned with understanding how people learn (study). It is basically applied psychology – were it applies the theories from cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology etc. The field is important since it enables instructors (teachers) to teach students in a manner that is most effective by bringing a change in their teaching styles. It also helps in understanding the individual difference in learning process and would help coming up with best educational system. There are different elements or concentration within educational psychology – 1) Learning, cognition and motivation 2) Assessment, evaluation and testing. 3) Data driven decision making process. The field of educational psychology will enable me to learn and acquire skills and traits that are essential in conducting successful training and development programs for employees in a corporate setting.

Educational psychology handbook is the book listed by the American psychology association (which is the major association for psychologist). These are also the books mentioned by the professors. It has the core elements explained well, that would enable the individual in the application of the learned theories. Educational psychology handbook enacts as an encyclopedia which has all the required information that an individual needs to accesses. While the other books has the information on other sub- constructs that one has to learn to strengthen basic knowledge.
